CarPro Cquartz SiC 30ml is a ceramic coating for painted surfaces, designed to enhance the gloss, slickness and chemical resistance of the surface.

What it offers
Its SiC (Silicon Carbide) formula advances the CQuartz range with emphasis on ease of application, improved behavior against water spots and mineral deposits, as well as deep gloss after application.

• Water contact angle 110° and sliding angle 10°.
• Application temperature range 50°F to 100°F.

It is a choice for those who want a ceramic coating with clear technical Features and emphasis on both appearance and paint durability.

Directions for use:

• Wrap a 4" microfiber suede around the gray side of the applicator block.
• Shake CQuartz Sic.
• Slowly open the bottle and draw a line of product down the applicator.
• Spread over the paint in a cross-hatch pattern approximately 2 square feet at a time depending on conditions.
• Wipe it immediately once it flashes (within 3~15 minutes depending – see additional tips below)
• using a CarPro No Lint Ultra 16″ x 16″ towel.
• Make sure to remove all excess residue when wiping.
• Switch out the 4″ Suede panels every 2+/-.
• Additional layers can be applied within 45-60 minutes, or wait until the next day if you are over 90 minutes.
• CarPro recommends 2 layers.
• You can apply additional layers if desired.
• Apply CarPro Reload 45 ~ 75 minutes +/- after the final layer.
• Wait at least 12 hours if you miss the 45 – 75 minute window.

Notes

• Keep the surface dry for at least 3 hours. (For best results keep dry for 24 hours).
• Gently wipe any water from the surface during the first 24 hours after application.
• Avoid detergents and chemicals for 5 days after application.

Additional tips:

• Finding the right time to wipe off excess coating after it flashes
• Start with a single 2 ft x 2 ft test section to determine flash time before applying coating to the entire vehicle.
• Flash time will vary depending on temperature, humidity, air movement, paint type, application thickness and many other factors.
• If the coating is applied thickly, then the coating will need more time to flash.
• If applied thinly, it will flash faster.
• High temperatures will make it flash faster, cold temperatures will make it flash slower.
• Air movement will make it flash faster.
• When it flashes, you will see it change from a darker, wetter appearance to a drier, lighter one.
• All streaks must be wiped away and the paint should be nice and clean.
• Lighting – Lighting is key to making sure you wipe completely without leaving high spots.
• You do not want "direct light" like you would use in paint correction, but rather ambient light.
• Look at the paint from different angles to make sure no coating is missed.
• The Spot Light will visually “show” the high spots.
• Think of it this way: when wiping off a sealant, you have hours to go and check it again outside or in different lighting.
• In this case you need to pay attention as you go instead of waiting an hour.
• Thorough removal of residue and streaks is necessary to avoid the need to
• polish high spots later.
• Wait between 2 ~ 15 minutes depending on temperature, humidity and air movement and find the right window for wiping when doing your test panel.
• Generally at medium temperatures 7 ~ 10 minutes is the correct window.
• High spots – A high spot is an excess amount of coating that has not been leveled (wiped).

Precautions

• Do not apply in direct sun or on a hot surface.
• Do not reuse 4″ suede applicators.
• Do not reuse the towels you used to wipe the paint.
• Wear hand protection.
• Wear respiratory protection.
