ValetPro Citrus Pre Wash 1LT is a gentle and effective car pre-wash, designed to remove road traffic film, insect residue and dirt before contact washing.
It is safe for paint and suitable for regular use.
By removing abrasive dirt from the surface, it helps maintain the vehicle's gloss and finish, while also helping preserve existing protection such as waxes, sealants and ceramic coatings.

It is an ideal first step in the car-washing routine and can be used on areas such as door seals, sills, wheels and wheel arches.

Directions for use
• Dilute 1:4 for very dirty vehicles or 1:8 for lightly dirty vehicles.
• Spray all lower panels of the vehicle, the wheels and the inside of the wheel arches.
• Allow it to work but not to dry. Generally, by the time you have sprayed the lower parts of the car it is ready to be rinsed with a high-pressure washer.
• Starting from the bottom, rinse with a high-pressure washer

Why use Citrus Pre Wash
ValetPRO was the first to introduce Citrus PRE Wash.
At its launch, all other products on the market were high-alkaline TFRs.
TFR stands for traffic film remover.
High-alkaline TFRs were powerful cleaners, but they removed the sealants and waxes commonly used at the time.
Many of these TFRs were also harmful with long-term use, because they had originally been designed for car dealerships to perform a one-off clean to prepare a vehicle for delivery.
They were powerful, fast and effective, but did not take into account long-term paint wear.
Over time, these highly corrosive products could damage the gloss and brightness of the paint surface.
ValetPRO saw the opportunity to create a gentle, alkaline cleaner based on citrus oil, which provided excellent degreasing properties and the ability to remove general dirt.
This made it safe for regular use without damaging the paint surface.
Since then, almost every brand now offers Citrus PRE Wash.
However, these products are not all the same.
Some companies simply renamed TFRs as PRE Wash and added a citrus fragrance.
The world of detailing has changed a lot since the original idea of Citrus PRE Wash.
We now have ceramic coatings, which are particularly resistant to high-pH products.
They can degrade over time, but not as quickly as waxes or sealants.
At ValetPRO, we believe that our original idea - a product designed to safely clean the surface to which it is applied and suitable for regular use - is still important.
There are only rare cases where stronger products are needed.
Finally, if your car has suffered discoloration on piano black plastics, chrome trim, polycarbonate headlights or other sensitive surfaces, take a careful look at the snow foams and pre-washes you use.
You will probably find that they are highly alkaline and corrosive products.
